We are praying the Lord Jesus will be especially near to a you all at this very intense time. May He give you the strength and wisdom, the grace and faith that only He can give. It is a truly awesome experience to witness a true Soldier of the cross come down to the banks of Jordan, and see that steadfast Faith that has carried them through the storms and trials of life, become even greater as they near the crossing over. We've personally witnessed this in the life of one of our loved ones. God's grace is unfathomable. You are all in our prayers and thoughts at this time. We love you all and thank the Lord for the blessing of your friendship and ministry. God Bless ~

Bro. John, I will always remember when you came and stayed at my house, and I felt like our home was truly blessed to have you and your family stay here. I will never forget the book you gave me "The Family Altar", saying that it was your gift to me so that I may be blessed, and I was so blessed by that book. I again was blessed to be a part of your new church dedication, because it was your faith that God would bless you with a new church, and your dedication to his word that fulfilled that promise. You may not have been able to spend years in this new church, however your love and dedication and your heritage will be passed down for many generations. Your children are a testimony of your life's work and they will continue to carry out your legacy. Just like the book you gave me, your children will always have a family altar to come to. May God bless you and your family!

All my love and prayers are with the entire Stemen family as they walk through this trial. It has been such a blessing to be a part of this church family and I thank God that He directed us to this assembly 5 years ago. It came at a time in my life where I was struggling and I really needed some solid Word in my life. Bro. John has always taken a stand for truth even when it was unpopular. I greatly appreciate how he has led this church and the love he has shown to all of us. Each and everyone. He has done so much, never asking anything in return. He has truly been an example of Christ! Bro. John, I love you and I'm praying for you, that God would have His perfect will in your life! Thank you a hundred times over for all your love, prayers, and support! May God richly bless you!

~Rachel Doucette

Bro John, God bless you and your family. You have been the best example of a Christian I have ever seen! The life you have lived has cause me to thirst for the true and living God. You have been the salt of Sarasota and each place you have sojourned to. Thank you for living so faithful to the True and Living God and being that solid rock, unmoved, in our local assembly. You and your family have been like family to me and I love you guys so much.

I've wanted to sign this thing for a while, but I really had no idea how to put my thoughts into words. I guess I'll just have to say that I love you all so much, and it has been such a blessing coming here to House of Fellowship. God has done great things through our precious Brother John, and if He takes him home, he will be greatly missed, but we know we will see him again. Thank the Lord for the hope He has given us. I just wanted to let you know that I'm praying for you all, especially Sister Diana. God bless you all

Dear Stemen Family, May the comfort of the Holy Spirit fill your hearts at this time. We have been blessed to know our dear Bro. John and family over 25 years and have enjoyed fellowship with them in many services...including the Tenn. meetings, our camp meetings at Victory Tabernacle, and in House of Fellowship. What a wonderful testimony Bro. John has of how God brought him into the Message! Everyone should hear it! Should this be the time for our brother's "Homegoing", this scripture has comforted us in many times of loss. Psa. 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." We are praying for you.

It is gloriously gratifying to know, that the word 'Impossibility', is never found in God's eternal vocabulary. Even up till this point, regardless of what have or may happen, I want you to know we have not, and will not cease to pray for you Brother John, and your entire family. Though we are trapped in this 'dying' mortal body, plagued day after day with sicknesses, pains, sorrows and agony. Yet, satisfying and peaceful are the feelings in our souls, to know we are being held by an able eternal Hands of Jehovah, who loves us sooo much with His 'undying Love'. Regardless of our present situation, let us rest on the blessed Word of our dear Lord, Who promised 'I will NEVER leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Deuteronomy 31:6, Hebrews 13:5).  God bless you.

~Pastor Tony Ojurabesa

Bro. John and Family, A few years back, I had the opportunity to finally meet you in person. That evening, we had a wonderful time of fellowship with you and the saints of House of Fellowship. We are praying for you and your family during this difficult time. If there is anything we can do, please let us know.
